MTM upgrades the 2010 Audi RS5
Although the Audi RS5 was recently unveiled (and confirmed for the U.S. market for 2012), it appears that it already got the attention of the tuning company and the first tuner to release a programme was MTM, the well-know tuning firm based in Germany.
First of all, you’d better find out that there is no upgrade for the engine, unusual for MTM but the engineers are definitely working hard. So you’ll have to stick to the 4.2-liter V8 engine capable to deliver 450 hp @ 8,250 rpm and a maximum of 430 Nm (317.15 lb-ft) of torque between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm. With these numbers, the car, which weighs 1,725 kg and carries a seven-speed S-tronic transmission is able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds and has a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h (155.34 mph). MTM can remove this speed limiter for €1,499 which can offer you a top speed of 188 mph or 303 km/h. Also, for €2,999 the tuning company offers you a new exhaust system. A new set of wheels is available from €2,250 and can go up to €7,638. Some suspension tweaks will be available in the near future!
