Reuss declined to provide details about the rumors that in the next few years, GM would release a 2-door Cruze that could be marketed as a coupe. Reuss said that this version is needed, especially for a model like the Cruze. Reuss said that a 2-door is still necessary since its small-car portfolio will soon be beyond what it currently is. GM is anticipated to quickly provide the products that the market has demands for. The qualities that most consumers are looking for are a great duty cycle for work, play, as well as commuting efficiently and safety with much fun and style.

In a statement, it was revealed that the all-new Cruze is meant to pave the way for Chevrolet in small-displacement, turbocharged Ecotec engines that are highly fuel efficient and fun to drive. Drivers can now have the “hybrid performance” without the high cost. In fact, a high-efficiency variant of the Cruze is expected to deliver segment-leading fuel economy of up to 40 miles-per-gallon on the highway.”
