Sunday, 14 February 2010

GreenGT Le Mans ConceptThere will be many things of interest at the Geneva Motor Show, one of which is GreenGT’s unveiling of the electric Twenty-4 Le Mans racer. Not many details are known. It’s believed that the Twenty-4 could be based on GreenGT’s recent design study.

The study had boasted of an FIA-spec carbon chassis and a fiberglass body. Featured on the study were two electric motors that got their power from flexcell photovoltaic solar panels and two 30kWh lithium-ion batteries. Packing 400 hp (298 kW) and an awesome 2000 Nm (1475 ft-lb) of torque, the 860 kg (1895 lbs) concept could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than four seconds and hit a top speed of 275 km/h (171 mph). *Update: the debut was confirmed by Christophe Schwartz, one of the creators of the Green GT brand! More details are expected next month.
